As of February 28, 2013, your Lexis-Nexis library database no longer has access to the San Antonio Express-News. This abrupt change in licensing between the Express-News and Lexis-Nexis left us without access to current articles and the archives of our own local paper.

UPDATE SEP 2013: We have been able to restore our subscription to NewsBank (whew!) so you can click through and search the Express-News, Texas newspapers, US news and/or World news.

Additionally, you can search the Express-News website for current articles (some are available for individual subscribers only) or browse archived copies of the San Antonio Express-News (1911-2010) on microfilm here in the library.

Additionally, we have archived microfilm copies of:

  • The Daily Express (1870-1871)
  • San Antonio Daily Express (1871-1875)
  • San Antonio Evening News (1918-1953)
  • The San Antonio Express (1862-1920)
  • The San Antonio Light (1967-1993)
