The Library offers several books covering the history of Thanksgiving.

Under Books & Media, click on SUBJECT, then type THANKSGIVING DAY. You will find several books and one video about this holiday.

To expand your holiday choices, type HOLIDAYS under SUBJECT.

For information about the first celebrants of Thanksgiving, type PILGRIMS (NEW PLYMOUTH COLONY) or WAMPANOAG INDIANS.

For the history of our country during the first Thanksgiving, type UNITED STATES HISTORY COLONIAL PERIOD.

Of course, Canada also celebrates Thanksgiving, so you could check under HOLIDAYS for their version of this feast or under CANADA HISTORY.

Meanwhile, here is the link to Libby's Pumpkin Pie recipe . Take my advice and use sweetened condensed milk instead of evaporated milk and you'll have a pie worthy of Thanksgiving!
