Hello! We have a lot of information on Antigone: copies of the work, literary criticisms, even a streaming video! Let's take a closer look at resources for this play.

1. Literature Resource Center - this database will give you historical information on the author, overviews of the work and criticisms. Just type in "Antigone" in the Name of Work box and "Sophocles" in the Person by or about box. Like this:

Then explore the criticism and work overview tabs to get the best resources for Antigone.

Also, look at the end of each full-text entry for the complete MLA citation. You'll need this in order to cite your sources for your paper!

2. Gale Virtual Reference Library - great resource for reference works and some literature criticism, too. Here I did a keyword search for Antigone and Sophocles

3. Streaming video of Antigone from Films on Demand - you'll be prompted to enter your ACES username and Banner ID if you access this or any of the other databases from off campus.

There are lots of other resources you have access to through the SAC Library. If you need more, please don't hesitate to contact us! Leave us a comment below or send in a separate question.
