Hello! We have a lot of information on Antigone: copies of the work, literary criticisms, even a streaming video! Let's take a closer look at resources for this play.

1. Literature Resource Center - this database will give you historical information on the author, overviews of the work and criticisms. Use the Basic Search box. Just type in "Antigone" and the database will give you choices. Select the Antigone-Sophocles-Play option. Then explore the criticism and work overview tabs to get the best resources for Antigone. See highlighted sections in the screen capture below:

Also, look at the end of each full-text entry for the complete MLA citation. You'll need this in order to cite your sources for your paper!

2. eBook Gale Virtual Reference Library - great resource for reference works and some literature criticism, too. Here I did a keyword search for Antigone and Sophocles

3. Streaming video of Antigone from Films on Demand - you'll be prompted to enter your ACES username and ACES password if you access this or any of the other databases from off campus.

There are lots of other resources you have access to through the SAC Library. If you need more, please don't hesitate to contact us! Leave us a comment below or send in a separate question.
